Collaborative Action Research: Empower Your Faculty_ - Over the past four years WAB HS and MS libraries have worked with the tech-integrator to develop a Collaborative Action Research plan exploring the effectiveness of iPads as a tool for improving student learning. In the process, we realized we'd hit on an incredibly powerful model that places the library at the center of empowering teachers. This interactive workshop will look at our initial project/s, explore WAB's CAR model and discuss methods for implementing similar ideas in other schools.

Library to Libratory Vol. 1 - Yokohama International School is currently redesigning our PreK-12 library to make it a student centered space for research, reading and creativity. This session will share our redesign process, our progress thus far, and the resources that have supported our journey. A large portion of this session will be for participants to share about their physical spaces and discuss their struggles and successes. The goal is for everyone to leave with at least one way to immediately make their library a more student-centered learning space.
